Adding photos
Where you can bring photos from, which files work and what happens to the originals.
From where
- From a computer: choose a folder, or drag it onto the page. Keep the tab open until reading ends.
- From a phone: choose photos from the gallery.
Which files
- Photos: JPEG, PNG, WebP, HEIC and HEIF, up to 100 MB each.
- Videos: MP4, MOV, M4V and 3GP, up to 4 GB each.
- Up to 50,000 files per story. A file over a limit gets a reason, and the other files go on.
- RAW files are not supported yet.
What happens to the originals
Nothing. Rega never changes, moves or deletes a file in its source. It reads dates and places and makes small previews. Only the photos selected for the album are uploaded in full.
Photos from WhatsApp
On WhatsApp photos, the date is sometimes the day you received them, not the day they were taken. If a photo landed on the wrong day, swap it.
